09.04.2002 XC-skiing.com informs. Coaches and Team Structure for the 2002-2003 Season. Next season's coach set-up and team structure in Norwegion XC have now been decided. The final details were clarified at meetings held last weekend in connection with part two of the Norwegian championships in Vang. Av: Knut Seim XC-skiing.com has reason to believe that the following coaches have been appointed: - Carl Henning Gran will be in charge of the men's elite team (=A-team). (Main sponsor not yet confirmed.) - Krister Sørgård will be in charge of Team AstraZeneca (=B-team). Sørgård has shared the responsibility for Team Økokraft this season with Micke Pålsson. - Micke Pålsson will be in charge of Team ØkoKraft. - Svein Tore Samdal continues as head coach of the women's team (=A-team) (Main sponsor not yet confirmed). - Egil Kristiansen will be in charge of Team Økokraft's women and function as Svein Tore Samdal's assistant head coach. - Morten Aa Djupvik continues as head coach of the national junior team (=Team Olden). XC-skiing.com has reason to believe that the following team structure has been laid down: Like last year, there will be only one elite team for men and women. The national sprint team, on the other hand, is most likely to be dissolved. Consequently, sprinters who earn selection will be included in the A- and B-teams. Team selections are expected to take place in April. |
