Everything has gone according to schedule since we left Norway last Tuesday. We are very satisfied with our accommodation here in Dear Valley, which is located on a plateau above the ski resort Park City. The conditions are perfect for training, and all the girls are healthy and in a good mood.
We do most of the cooking ourselves in our excellent apartments. In general our daily routine consists of training, eating, sleeping, shopping, playing games, and watching TV. These activities may not sound too exciting, but the peace and quiet allow us to focus on the up-coming competitions.
We are going to live closely together every day for a whole month. A strong team-spirit, a friendly atmosphere, and cheerfulness are all factors which will decide whether or not we will succeed at the Olympics.
Yesterday, we checked out the Olympic cross-country courses for the very first time. They were great; perfect trails, snow in abundance, and exquisite surroundings which gave us a wonderful skiing experience. Conditions like these are bound to ensure interesting and fair competitions when the Olympic Winter Games get going.
Im looking forward to what lies ahead of us.
Best of regards
From Bente
