2002-02-04 Norwegians believes in gold for Bente Skari.Great Expectations. The Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten reports today that 40 per cent of all Norwegians believe that Bente Skari will win an Olympic gold medal in Salt Lake City. The Norwegian peoples faith in her is overwhelming, and no other Norwegian athlete comes anywhere near this result. The survey is carried out by Feedback Research on behalf of the news agency NTB. No female cross-country from Norway has ever won an individual gold medal at the Winter Olympics, though.
