21.04.2002 XC-skiing.com's preview... National Team Selections... 
Thursday next week the Norwegian Ski Federation is expected to announce its selections for next season's national teams. In the meantime, XC-skiing.com presents the names of the skiers we think will be picked for the national A- and B-teams. Av: Knut Seim XC-skiing.com's predicts that the national teams will be composed of the following athletes: A-team, men: Frode Estil, Odd-Bjørn Hjelmeset, Thomas Alsgaard, Anders Aukland, and Kristen Skjeldal. Sprinters (also members of the A-team): Trond Iversen, Tor Arne Hetland, Håvard Bjerkeli, and Jens Arne Svartedal (picture). B-team (Team AstraZeneca): Espen Bjervig, Håvard Skorstad, Tore Bjonviken, and Tore Ruud Hofstad. Out: Håvard Solbakken, Morten Brørs, and Trond Einar Elden. Carl Henning Gran is head coach of the A-team, whereas Krister Sørgård is in charge of Team AstraZeneca. XC-skiing.com will be back tomorrow with "selections" for the women's A- and B-teams. |
