Kaiser Maximilian Lauf up next!

The third event of the Visma Ski Classics is about to take place in Seefeld in Tirol, Austria, and everything is ready for the race that carries the name of the emperor who reigned in the 16th century.

The organizers of Kaiser Maximilian Lauf have worked extremely hard for the third edition in order to ensure an experience that will please both pro skiers and amateurs alike.

“We have done our best to guarantee a long-distance ski race that will stay in everyone’s memory” Martin Tauber, the Chief of Competition, says confidently and continues. “We have the World Championships here in Seefeld next year, and our race utilizes the same courses. The first two kilometers and the last three are on the World Championship course. We have a new stadium where the start and finish will be located, but the rest of the course is the same as last year.”

The conditions for this weekend should be perfect with cold weather and a lot of snow. And now the skiers do not have to worry about fighting a snowstorm in the middle of the race.

“It will be a great day and a wonderful start for the new Visma Alp Trophy competition,” Martin continues. “It will also be a fast race with the winning time well under three hours. We will also provide with top-notch service for all skiers. I won’t predict any winners, but I would say that may the best man and woman win!”

It has been awhile since the last race in early December. Last year’s winner of Kaiser Maximilian Lauf and the fastest man in Sgambeda, Andreas Nygaard, Team Santander, is one of the favorites to win on Saturday. The same goes for Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team, who won Axa Ski Marathon in Sweden this past weekend. She was really strong in Sgambeda in December and has the lead in the overall results so far, this season.
