* The music band Pamstiddn Kings will perform in the heated tent of Compatsch

* Anders Aukland and Tord Asle Gjerdalen will probably take part in the race

* Registrations are still available at 60 euros for both tracks of 15 and 30 km

The Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm will take place on Wednesday 23rd January in South Tyrol; the thirteenth edition of the of cross-country event in South Tyrol will be combined with other events.

The starting numbers will be available in the race office on the Alpe di Siusi (near the start/finish line) on Tuesday 22nd from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm and on Wednesday 23rd from 9.00 am; the band Pamstiddn Kings will perform in the heated tent in the starting area of Compatsch:

"Relax. Breathe in. Breathe out. There are no concerts you can miss!", singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists who will make the atmosphere even more lively. The South Tyrolean sextet will play interesting and engaging jazz-funk music with their wind instruments.

At 8 pm there will be the Mass Start of the Moonlight Classic; the first athletes of the 15 km long track will reach the finish at 8.35 pm and the winner of the 30 km at 9.15 pm.

After the race there will be the flower ceremony and the award ceremony at 10 pm. On Alpe di Siusi there is already snow; other ten centimetres have fallen in the last hours and the area has all the necessary amenities.

Athletes and fans can reach the Compatsch tent by car after 5 pm. It is important to remind that the fans can also reach the venue by cable car from 6 pm for free (open until 1 am), while for athletes the cable car is open from 8 am to 1 am - always for free.

Participants, such as Anders Aukland, Olympic and world gold medallist, and Tord Asle Gjerdalen, the cross-country skier with Ray-Ban and two-time world champion, also asked for information about the race. The two competitors of the next Marcialonga of Fiemme and Fassa could thus 'warm up' participating in the Moonlight Classic, a sumptuous 15 or 30 km long race by night, lighted up by 1,000 flares that will make the atmosphere electrifying.

From this year, the event is also "Just for Fun": the tourism association Alpe di Siusi wants the race to be open to everyone. It is an exciting challenge that must be experienced even by non-competitors, who won’t be part of the final ranking list.

The champions can instead take advantage of the altitude to improve their sports performance. The venue was also the finish of a stage of Giro d'Italia in 2009; it was the fifth stage and started from San Martino di Castrozza. It was won by the Russian Denis Menchov. It is still possible to participate in the Moonlight Classic at 60 euros; the plateau fit for all seasons welcomes all cross-country skiers.
